Rarely do cases involving extradition laws come up. Up till
2023, India had extradition agreements with 12 nations and
treaties with 48 other nations. Even fugitives from nations with
which there is no treaty could be extradited through the
extradition procedure. Subject to the terms of the Agreement
that has led to extradition, the provisions of the Extradition
Laws will take effect once this procedure is underway or
finished, even in the absence of a treaty.
We have had the opportunity of handling matters that have arisen
against extradited fugitive and to pursue the same towards
strict applicability of Extradition Act. Our professional
services in this area of law are :
- Legal Counsel and Assistance - during the stage of extradition proceedings.
- Filing Petition and Representation before Courts including High Court - towards strict compliance of extradition terms.
